February Beauty Favourites

Don’t know about you, but I’m actually glad February is over, so many ups and downs I couldn’t keep track of what day it was, let alone the month. Let’s just say I haven’t been my usual cheery self, hopefully that’s done with now and I can move on to better things.

I have been getting excited over some fab new products I’ve been using, well new to me anyway, I’d had a huge clear out of makeup that was so old I can’t even remember when I last used it, so that made room for some sparkly new purchases!

Here’s what I’ve been loving throughout February.

Makeup Revolution Pro Base Blur Primer

I’m always on the hunt for a wonder primer and anything that mentions “Blur” then I know I’m off to a great start. I am obsessed with Makeup Revolution products anyway, I saw this on the bottom shelf on their stand and at only £6 I thought it’s not too much to spend out on. I’ve never been that impressed with low end primers before, but this one is incredible! It’s a thick clear gel that has a silicone feel, you only need one pump as little really does go a long way. It’s lightweight, blends in easily using my finger tips and smooths into my skin so well making it feel super soft. My foundation went on like an absolute dream and this primer helped make it last much longer throughout the day.

Makeup Revolution Iconic Lights and Contour Pro

I’ve never gotten on with contour palettes before, I tend to just use a bronzer most of the time. I’d seen this one on so many other blogs and heard it was absolutely amazing, so I decided I needed it in my life! As with my other MUR palette, it is highly pigmented so I start off with a little product on my brush and build the colour up if I need to, it blends in beautifully. There’s a great mix of shades, in both shimmer and matte, for a day or night time look. I’ve been reaching for this palette every day to contour my face using the two warmer shades and the yellow or peachy shade to set my concealer. At £8 it’s also an absolute bargain, considering the NYX Highlight and Contour paltette is £18!

Sleek Luminous Pressed Powder

I’ve needed to pick up a new pressed powder for a while now, so I decided to give this one a try. I’ve tried a few Sleek products before so I had high hopes for this one, I wasn’t disappointed! It’s just gorgeous, a really soft, lightweight powder that comes in 4 different shades. I use my brush to apply a fine dusting over my foundation to set it in place and it leaves me with a fresh, dewy glow. It’s a pressed powder and highlighter in one, with light to medium coverage so it doesn’t look all cakey. It’s absolutely perfect for all day, but I have been popping it in my bag as it’s such a cute little size to carry round with me.

After months of wearing dark polish on my nails, I wanted something a fresher for Spring. I’ve been really loving Itsy Nails Gel Effect Nail colour in shade City Girl, it’s a lilac/grey shade, which is absolutely gorgeous. It is just incredible, the shapes of the brush makes it apply so easily in just 2 sweeps, my nails looked super glossy. I am so impressed that this polish lasted 8 days, I think it would have lasted a lot longer but I decided to change the colour on my nails!

The other polish I’ve been obsessed with this month is Ciate Paint Pots in shade Iced Frappe. You can’t go wrong with a nude nail colour and this one is more of a beige coffee tone, rather than a pinky nude. I absolutely adore wearing this shade, it goes with almost everything and looks pretty chic too. It applies beautifully and lasts pretty well too.

Smith and Cult The Shining Lip Lacquer in shade Now Kith

I knew I was going to love this lip gloss the minute I saw it and it’s been my go to lip product for most of this month, whenever I’ve not felt like applying much makeup or I’ve used darker shades on my eyes. It’s the most gorgeous, glossy nude shade in an incredibly moisturising formula. I love how easily it glides onto my lips and makes them a slightly fuller and more plump. It doesn’t feel really tacky after I’ve put it on, which I’ve come across with some other lip glosses, it lasts pretty well on my lips but the sponge applicator does make it simple to do any touch ups though the day. I love everything about this, the colour, the texture and the packaging!

Original Source Vanilla and Raspberry Shower

Don’t you just love it when you find a product that not only smells devine but also doesn’t cost the earth? What can I say about Original Source shower creams that has’t been said already! This Vanilla and Raspberry one just smells incredible and good enough to eat, it reminds me of ice cream and summer days, after months of using comforting winter fragrances, this is just the pick me up I need first thing every morning. It leaves my skin feeling super soft, great for if you suffer from dry skin. At only £2.29 for 250mls, I think that’s money well spent!

What products have you been loving this month? Have you tried any of my February Favourites? I’d love to know.
