There’s even the option of having an item personalised if you’re buying a gift for someone else.

I love adding a sparkly piece of jewellery to complete my outfit whatever the occasion but I also enjoy adding an element of fun with my accessories around Christmas time. You can imagine my excitement when I received this beautiful necklace  and cute pair of earrings from Jewellerybox. Honestly, you really will fall in love with everything on their website because I certainly did!

earings and necklace from jewellerybox.com

The first item of jewellery in my package is this sweet pair of Sterling Silver Snowflake Stud Earrings. They are so simple and delicate and I have already worn them loads this week. The earrings can be worn on their own or with the matching necklace and still look stunning. They really will add a festive touch to any outfit but I think they will still look gorgeous worn during other times of the year too.

The next item in my package is this adorable 18 inch Sterling Silver Snowflake necklace. I think it’s such a beautiful piece of jewellery. The length of the chain is just perfect and the pendant measures about 0.8 cm in height, it’s such a simple and delicate necklace, but perfect for Christmas time. Again, it can be worn on it’s own or paired with the matching earrings and still look gorgeous. I’ve worn it a few times this week and have had people comment on how pretty it is! I’m absolutely in love with this necklace, I think it’s too cute just be be worn at Christmas, don’t you?

Each piece of jewellery comes in a shabby chic style box and then each box is wrapped in brown paper and tied up with string with a little tag. I absolutely love it!

Overall, I’m really pleased with the quality of the necklace and earrings, I’ll definitely be wearing them a lot more over the coming months!

So if you’re looking for some fun, festive jewellery then I really recommend checking out jewellerybox.co.uk as they have some absolutely gorgeous pieces in stock. They would also make the perfect smaller gift for someone or a Secret Santa present, whoever receives them I’m sure will just love them as much as I do.

winter-haul

With Winter (and Christmas!) just around the corner I recently picked up a few little treats to make me feel a little bit more warm and cosy during the cold weather.

I’ve been super organised this year and have already bought my Christmas presents but I agreed to go shopping with my friend to help her choose gifts for people, also to stop her over spending which is not always a good idea. Instead I came home with a few replacement items and some new additions! Isn’t that just typical, never mind, we both had a fantastic day out with lots of laughs and a few cups of coffee to keep us both going!

winter-haul-2

I don’t know about you, but socks are the one thing that seem to go walk abouts in my house, never to seen again! I think the sock devil comes in during the night and steals them so I’m left with a drawer full of odd socks.

As soon as I come home I like to snuggle up in my pyjamas and a pair of fluffy socks, especially around this time of year, so while we were in New Look I picked up 3 pairs of fun, festive socks to keep my feet warm. New Look have so many adorable socks in at the moment. I think the fluffy Father Christmas ones have to be my favourite pair.

My friend disappeared off to the changing room to try something on, I know just what you’re thinking, I was supposed to stop her over spending but what could I do, she just vanished! Anyway, I was distracted by this gorgeous pair of tartan pyjama bottoms, they feel extremely soft and have a drawstring waist which is great when you just want to be comfortable at home. I bought the pink and grey checked pair from New Look last year and  was so pleased with them, I thought I’d go for something a little different to my usual pastels and choose a more colourful option for this winter. I can tell I’m going to love wearing these.

winter-haul-2

Staying with the warm feet theme, I’ve wanted a pair of  fun slippers for ages and used a own a pair of monster feet ones years ago, but they got worn so much they eventually fell apart and ever since then I’ve had “grown up” slippers. This pair of cute fluffy cat slippers was hanging up next to the pyjamas and I fell in love with them as soon as I saw them. I just can’t get over how soft they are and they’ll be just the perfect thing to keep my feet nice and toasty in the evenings. My cat’s not very impressed with them though!

Next we went into Home Bargains, now I love shopping in this store and have been known to spend hours in there eyeing up all their cute homeware and stationery items. I usually come out with far too much stuff but for once I only bought two things, yay well done to me!

I have a large collection of hats but I picked up this neutral coloured, thick woolly bobble hat to keep my head warm when I’m out for a weekend stroll, it almost matches a woolly scarf that I already own so they’ll both look perfect with my thick parka jacket and boots, and keep me nice and snug.

Of course I couldn’t come home without picking up this large Mulled Wine candle in a glass jar, it smells absolutely divine. I already have a couple of these in different fragrances and for the price I think they are pretty amazing. The mulled wine candle will make my room smell so wonderful throughout December.

winter-haul-1

During my shopping trip I also picked up a couple more candles to add to my collection as I love burning them in the evening, it creates a certain ambiance in the room and really does make me feel warm and cosy. The mini Cinnamon Spice candle smells amazing and reminds me of my kitchen after I’ve been baking cakes, so you can imagine how much I love the smell of this candle. The Christmas Spice candle not only smells gorgeous, with more of a warm spicy smell rather than a sweet fragrance, but comes  in a deep red class jar and when the candle is lit it creates beautiful patterns around the room. I think this one will be seeing a lot of use when I’m enjoying a nice relaxing bath on a Winter pamper night!

I hope you enjoyed seeing everything that I picked up during my recent Mini Autumn/Winter Haul. Let me know what items you’ve bought lately.

I always find Autumn to be quite a tricky season to style an outfit as you’re never sure what the weather’s going to be like when you leave the house in the morning, freezing temperatures and drizzly rain one minute or a blistering heatwave the next.
I’ve been wanting to update my wardrobe for a while now after having a huge clear out of items that I no longer wear. I needed to add a few key pieces in Autumnal colours that would see me through the next few months. And I’ve found just the most perfect dress!

Rosie2BLoves2BLife2B2528112529

I had great fun browsing through all the gorgeous clothes and cute accessories on the Sammydress website, where there is something that will suit everyone’s style. After spending absolutely ages looking at all the wonderful items they have, I finally decided to go for this beautiful Suedette Dress* in burnt orange as I thought the colour would really stand out on a grey day in the UK. It also seemed the perfect transitional piece to add to my Autumn wardrobe.

I absolutely adore this long sleeve, shirt style dress as it’s made of soft cotton material which feels very luxurious and much more expensive than it actually is. It has buttons down the front half of the dress, which can be done right up to the neck but I chose to leave a few open to give it a collar so I was able to wear my favourite silver diamante necklace. The dress has deep pockets on the hips and a thick elasticated waistline which give it a very flattering shape. I like the pleats at the back and around the waist as I think they add some extra detail. This dress is really versatile and is going to be so easy to style going into the colder weather too. It’s going to become one of my fashion favourites!

I also chose these cute black, kitten heeled ankle boots* with cross over straps and silver buckles. The boots feel so soft and are really comfortable to wear, I think they complement this style of dress really well. I’ve added a pair of classic black tights for this outfit but these boots will also look great worn with a chunky jumper and jeans or a button down skirt.

I couldn’t resist this sweet little camera shaped Cross Body Bag* with a long chain strap to add an element of fun to my outfit. I’ve never seen one like this before! OK, so it’s not the most practical sized bag for a day time outfit but I don’t always want to carry my great big tote bag with me, so this bag is just perfect for taking my lippy, mobile and money! It will also look cute worn with an evening outfit for a night out with the girls!

To  complete my outfit I’ve added a denim jacket, which I’ve had hanging in my wardrobe for ages, and my favourite wide brimmed fedora. I absolutely love this outfit and feel it’s perfect for Autumn.
What do you think to this outfit? What’s your favourite transitional outfit?

autumn accessories

Hurray, my first fashion post for the new season! As the days get colder and the nights get darker earlier, I thought I’d dig out a few favourite autumn accessories of mine that will see me right through the next few months. I’ve had a huge clear out in my wardrobe lately but there are some classic items that I just can’t part with and will look perfect with any new clothing I get this year.
As I mentioned in my Autumn post, I am really getting excited about the season this year and that goes for clothing and accessories too.

So let’s have a look at my must have accessories for Autumn.

 Wide Brimmed, Floppy Hat
I don’t know what it is about this style but a floppy hat in a beautiful berry colour is one of my all time favourite looks for Autumn. As well as looking stylish, it helps keep my head warm and is a saviour on a bad hair day! I love wearing mine with a floaty dress and chunky boots but it would look equally as good worn with a layered look, a pair of jeans and a pair of ankle boots. There are so many shapes and styles of hats around that there will be one to suit everybody.

Printed scarf
A printed scarf is a chic accessory that will really give your outfit a lift, as well as keeping you keep warm. I love this beautiful plum coloured scarf with a pretty butterfly print and often wear it with a dress, oversized cardigan and boots, but it will look just as stylish worn with jeans, blazer and a knitted top.

Low Heeled Shoes
I usually think of a pair of boots as the perfect autumn accessory but I also love wearing these low heeled, round toe shoes with a double ankle strap. They are a great way to really smarten up an outfit and I usually style them with a cute printed dress and longer length jacket or cardigan. They also look great with a pair of jeans and printed blouse. These shoes are in a very dark burgundy colour and really compliment most neutral colours of clothing in my autumn wardrobe.

The Ankle Boots
No Autumn wardrobe would be complete without this classic accessory and it is one of my staples for this season. These brown heeled pair of ankle boots go with just about everything and I love wearing them with dresses and tights or jeans and an oversized jumper, plus they are great for kicking through the piles of leaves on the ground!

Wide Belt
A wide belt with a large buckle will instantly make a T-shirt and a pair of jeans look even more chic. I’ve also worn my belt with a fit and flare dress to add a bit of detail to my outfit.

A Pair of Gloves
I don’t think I’m ready for the thick woolly gloves just yet but this time of year brings a slight chill to the air so I do have a pair of camel coloured gloves in my bag just in case. I think these are a lovely neutral shade and will go perfectly with all the berry, burgundy, green and plum tones in my autumn wardrobe.

The Large Tote Bag
Gone away are my summer straw bags and they have been replaced with a large tote bag. Not only do they look stylish but they are incredibly practical for carrying around all my daily essentials, including a mini fold up umbrella as we all know that the British weather can catch us out with a shower or two! The tote bag I am using at the moment is this gorgeous mock croc one with 2 large handles making it easy to carry on my shoulder or have it placed in the crook of my arm. It’s such a classic style that it goes with absolutely everything in my Autumn wardrobe.

 Jewellery
And of course, to complete my must have accessories for Autumn I always like to wear some pretty jewellery as it can really bring to life an other wise plain outfit. Let’s not forget a deep coloured nail polish and a berry lip colour, I know technically they are for a makeup post but they had to feature somewhere on here, didn’t they?

So there you have it, a few essential accessories that I love to have in my Autumn wardrobe to help keep my outfits looking stylish and a bit more pulled together throughout the season.

What essentials do you have in your Autumn wardrobe?

I realise that I’m probably getting a bit late with a Summer fashion post as everyone’s more than likely thinking about getting their Autumn coats! But do you know what? It’s not very often that I find a spaghetti strap dress that I not only love, but also feel confident enough to wear and have my photo taken wearing it.
The little black dress has been a wardrobe staple for years and believe me, I’ve had my fair share of them. I think it’s one of the easiest pieces to style, whatever the season or occasion. It’s the first thing I grab for a last minute party invite, chuck on a statement necklace and a pair of heels and I’m good to go!
But black lace in Summer? That’s a different story.

IMG_3738

IMG_3774a

If you know me by now then yu’ll knowow much I love florals or light colours and I would normally associate a lace dress with the party season, especially black. I know white lace has been everywhere this season but when I came across this cute little black number I just had to snap it up. I’m normally really self conscious of the tops of my arms but from the moment I tried this dress on it felt so right and I actually felt good about myself. I wasn’t trying to be anyone else or who I thought I should be. I was just me. Out for a stroll in town doing a spot of shopping and stopping off for a coffee. So I thought why not make the most of it and take a few outfit of the day photos for my blog.

IMG_3786
Then of course that brings me to another problem. Where to take the photos? I didn’t want just another bench in front of yet another hedge. I might as well have done them in my garden, but while out one Saturday afternoon I was in a street that I had been down a thousand times before (OK, slight exaggeration, haha) and there right at the end of it was this gorgeous bakery with a bench right outside. Yay, I could do the street scene! Do know how good that made me feel.

Anyway, back to the dress.
It’s a gorgeous black lace knee length dress with spaghetti straps and has a sweetheart neck. Around the edge of the neckline there is a delicate lace frill which adds a bit of extra detail and underneath it has a satin slip. I like the fact that it has an elasticated waist so it gives some shape to the dress, rather than hanging straight down.
I think it’s going to be one those versatile items that I can wear in Summer or Winter and get a lot more wear out of than just a New Years Eve party.

IMG_3810
I’ve also mentioned before that I have a bit of an addiction for hats and today seemed the perfect opportunity to dig out another of my favourites to wear in the hot weather. I think a hat can add a bit of interest to your outfit and I love having fun playing around with different styles. This panama hat is actually meant for a man but I think mixing a masculine accessory with my feminine style dress works really well. I also wanted a bag that didn’t look out of place, so a big tote bag wasn’t an option. I decided on a straw shopper with long handles so it was big enough to fit all of my junk in and maybe the odd little purchase too!
Add a pair of wedge espadrilles and my sunglasses and I had my perfect summer outfit. It kind of gives me that feeling that I’m on holiday exploring quaint little streets abroad somewhere, when in fact it was only 10 minutes down the road from where i live.
