Hempz Aromabody Milk And Honey Body Moisturizer

I tend to spend as much time looking after the skin on my body as I do my face, especially now we’re going into the colder months. I switch to something a little richer and more creamy to keep my skin soft and nourished. A body moisturiser that does what it says on the tin and gives me all the feel of Autumn is bound to be a winner. It’s going to be one that I look forward to using every single day.

Hempz Milk And Honey Body Moisturizer is from their new Aromabody range and is aimed towards extremely dry skin. If you’ve not heard of Hempz before, they are a vegan skincare brand and their products are all paraben free and gluten free. They sell everything you need for healthy skin and hair, all the products contain 100% natural hemp seed oil and are rich in vitamins. You will be spoilt for choice from the delicious range of beauty treats which include body washes, moisturisers and lip balms. I first discovered Hempz back in January, I’ll leave the link to my review in case you want to find out what I thought of their body wash and lip balm.

You know I’m going to mention the fragrance first, right? Let me tell you it smells amazing, with a warm comforting feeling as soon as you massage it into your body. Ok, so it doesn’t exactly smell of milk and honey, it reminds me of that home baked smell that wafts through the house just after you’ve made a batch of muffins. I promise you it smells good enough to eat.

It comes in a sturdy 500ml bottle, which is a decent size and will most likely be enough to last you all the way through til the Spring. I’m glad it has a pump as this makes it so much easier to dispense to moisturiser compared to a squeezy bottle. It looks pretty good standing on my bathroom shelf, although I’m seriously thinking of putting it under lock and key to stop other family members from helping themselves.

The moisturiser has a thick creamy texture and is almost like a gel formula. As it’s quite a heavy cream I was expecting it to take ages to be absorbed into my skin and I’d have to wait forever to get dressed. To my surprise it doesn’t sit on the skin and melts in really quickly. Oh boy, this is one of the most nourishing moisturisers I’ve ever used, my skin felt soft, hydrated and velvety smooth after I had applied it. Anyone with dry skin, then this is the one for you, it even helped on the drier areas like my elbows and knees. And like I said, you get a warm comforting feeling from the delicious fragrance the moment you put it on, the smell does linger for a while but it’s a small price to pay for a little indulgence after your morning shower or evening bath routine.

One of the main ingredients is Pure Hemp Seed Oil and is a great source of vitamins, including Vitamin E, and essential fatty acids such as Omega 3 and 6. It’s also packed with other key ingredients including Agave Extract, Jojoba Oil, Avocado Oil. Cocoa butter and Shea Butter, all designed to soften and hydrate your skin. Shea Butter provides heavy moisture and essential nutrients to the skin, helping to protect against free radical damage and daily elements. Plus the antioxidant properties help to nourish your skin and keep it look and feeling it’s best. All this while smelling deliciously yummy.

Other products in the Hempz Aromabody Milk & Honey* range include an Exfoliating Herbal Body Whip, a Herbal Body Wash and a Herbal Hand & Foot Creme.

Have you tried anything from the Hempz range? Do you switch up your skincare depending on the seasons?

Hempz Beauty Shower Gel and Lip Balm

Hemp seed oil has been around for a number of years and although I’ve heard of quite a few brands that use it in their products, I’ve never tried any. Imagine my excitement when I managed to get my hands on a couple of items from Hempz Beauty, a US brand that is now selling in the UK. Hemp seed oil is rich in vitamins, including Omega 3 and 6, I loved the thought of having all these health benefits in my beauty routine.

I thoroughly enjoy spending time getting ready in the morning, almost as much as a full on evening pamper session. What better place to start than with a gorgeous smelling body wash to make me feel energized and ready for the day ahead.

Hempz Beauty Pomegranate Body Wash

Hempz Beauty Pomegranate Body Wash is packed full of fresh pomegranates and, oh wow, it smells absolutely incredible. When I first picked up the bottle all I wanted to do was keep opening and closing the cap just to have a sniff. It’s moments like this I wish there was such a thing as smelly-vision.

It costs £16.99 for a 250ml bottle, however you do only need to use the tiniest amount, don’t do what I did and merrily squeeze away at the tube, resulting in a mass of frothy white bubbles on your shower scrunchy and all over your body. My bathroom sure smelt wonderful for the rest of the day.

I’ve used so many shower gels that have left my skin feeling like crumpled old newspaper, which is no good when I already suffer from dry skin. I want any product I use in the shower to moisturise my skin as well as leave me feeling clean. That’s not too much to ask for, is it?

Well, Hempz Beauty Pomegranate Body Wash did just that.

It leaves my skin feeling super soft and silky smooth, as though I had slapped on a handful of body butter whilst under the shower. I know this probably sounds daft when I’m talking about a body wash, but after about a week I even noticed a difference in the appearance of my skin. It looked super healthy and slightly more radiant that normal, my skin also felt really nourished and hydrated. This body wash is extra gentle but still leaves me feeling clean and refreshed, so it’s perfect for anyone who suffers from sensitive skin like I do.

Hempz Beauty Herbal Lip Balm

For me, a lip balm is one of those all year round beauty essentials, so finding one that softens the skin but doesn’t feel like a blob of glue stuck to my lips can be tricky. Hempz Beauty Herbal Lip Balm is really nourishing and leaves my lips feeling really soft, hydrated and flake free. This lip balm conditions and revitalises dry lips, I’ve been applying it on it’s own or under matte lip products, a couple of my liquid lipsticks can make my lips feel extra dry so I’ll add a light layer of lip balm to make them more comfortable to wear. This one is quite thick but again, you don’t need too much. It costs £7.99 for a 14g tube but I think this is going to last me ages.

Have you tried Hempz Beauty before? What’s you favourite body wash or lip balm?
