too Faced, Urban Decay, W7

Most beauty lovers have a selection of eyeshadow palettes that they absolutely love. I’m no exception and had a drawer full. When I actually thought about it, there were eyeshadow palettes in my collection that I just didn’t use, or I’d just pick out one shade. So a bag of stuff has gone to a couple of my friends, who can give everything some much needed love.

These are the 5 eyeshadow palettes that I reach for time and time again, whatever my mood, no matter what season it is and whatever the occasion.

W7 Delicious Eyeshadow Palette

W7 Eyeshadow palette in Delicious

It took me ages to get my hands on this beauty and I’ve been absolutely obsessed with it ever since! It’s a dupe for the ABH Modern Renaissance palette, but much more affordable at only £12.95. There are 14 different eyeshadows with a mix of berry and neutral shades, including matte and shimmer, some of which were once totally out of my comfort zone. I’ve mainly been using the darker, berry tones, which are highly pigmented and look absolutely stunning.

Urban Decay Naked Heat Eyeshadow Palette

The Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette

Took me a while to dig this out from my drawer and start using it, by the time I had, everyone and their Auntie had posted about it. The shades are absolutely stunning, I’ve been able to create so many different looks as it’s one of those eyeshadow palettes that’s not only for a summer bronzed look, these colours look amazing all year round. I flippin love this eyeshadow palette, especially the shades Lumbre, Layenne and En Fuego.

Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palette

Urban Decay Naked Palette

This has been one of my go-to eyeshadow palettes for as long as I can remember. It comes with 12 beautiful golden, neutral toned shades, including matte, satin and  shimmer. Each eyeshadow has a silky texture which blends in effortlessly, the shades are super pigmented and have amazing staying power. I apply Naked all over my lid, Smog in the crease, I’ll add Darkhorse in the outer corners, blending it up into the crease and along my lower lash line. Finishing with Sidecar on the inner part of my eyelid and Virgin right in the inner corner. If I’m in a rush, Ill go for a more natural look and sweep the shade Toasted across the whole of my lid.

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eyeshadow Palette

Yes, I was drawn to it because it had Chocolate in the name, but honestly, just look at those shades. They are gorgeous! It’s another one of those palettes that will see me from day to night, I’ve been able to create loads of different looks, whatever the occasion and the eyehadows blend in beautifully. Believe me when I tell you it smells amazing too, just like the perfect hot chocolate.

Tarte Tartelette In Bloom Eyeshadow Palette

Tarte Tartelette In Bloom palate.

This palette is probably my absolute favourite. I mean, isn’t it stunning? A dream came true when a friend of mine travelled to America and bought this beauty back for me. I’ve used just about every single shade. There are 12 soft creamy powders in a mix of gorgeous matte and shimmer shades. They blend in beautifully without any fall out. The darker shades are perfect to add a smokey eye to any evening makeup look.

All of these eyeshadow palettes work really well with anyone of my favourite lip colours.

Touch In Sol

I’ll often choose a fresh, natural makeup look if I’m meeting friends for coffee or busy running errands in town. So today I thought I’d let you get ready with me, right down to the finished look and my simple everyday fragrance.

To prep my skin I’ll start off by cleansing and moisturising using some of my skincare essentials. Then I’ll apply a small amount of Kathleen Amazing White Illuminating Serum*, I have mentioned this a few times already, but it honestly feels beautiful on my skin. I’ll leave the link to my full review here if you want to find out more.

Kathleen Skincare

Touch In Sol is a new brand I’ve recently discovered, I’d literally seen it everywhere and decided to make a few cheeky purchases. I’ll apply the Feel Like Honey Moon Skin Base which is super hydrating and illuminating, I love the glow it gives to my skin then I’ll apply a few drops of Touch In Sol Flawless Skin Top Coat and blend it in with my fingers, as it reacts better to the warmth of my skin and I’ll get a more natural finish. The great thing about the Skin Top Coat is you don’t need separate products, it’s a three in one base: BB Cream, foundation and powder. It’s a lightweight liquid which you can build up to get the coverage you want and it doesn’t look cakey or too heavy.

The Body Shop Bronzing Powder

To add colour and warmth to my complexion I’ll sweep The Body Shop Bronzing Powder (shade 3) all over for a sunkissed look. It looks incredibly natural, as though I’ve spent all day out in the sun.

Makeup Revolution Liquid Highlighter

As I’m using a 3 in 1 base product, I don’t need to use a powder to set my makeup but I’ll apply a light dusting of the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in the shade Dim Light to make my skin look even more luminous, instead of mattifying my complexion. I’ll apply a couple of tiny drops of Makeup Revolution Liquid Highlighter for a dewy glow, I absolutely love the pearly colour and creamy consistency.

NYX Sweet Cheeks Blush Palette

I’ll apply a light dusting of blusher from the NYX Sweet Cheeks Blush Palette, which is such a gorgeous palette. Today, I’m using the dusky pink shade (bottom row, second from the right) on the apple of my cheeks. The soft, creamy powders are extremely pigmented, blend in beautifully and aren’t drying in the slightest.

Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palette

Keeping my eye look really simple I’ll apply the shade Toasted (fourth from the right) from the Urban Decay Naked Palette. I’ll sweep it all over my lid, going in a little heavier on the outer lid and along the crease. To add definition I’ll take a thin eyeshadow brush and run the shade Darkhorse close to my upper and lower lash line. A few coats of brown mascara and my eyes are done. I’m currently using one from Ted Baker which came in a makeup set, but another one I use lot for a super natural eye look is My Favourite Mascara by GOSH.

Joan Collins Beauty Glorious Gloss

I simply adore these two lip products from  Joan Collins Beauty. The one I’m wearing today is the Glorious Gloss* in the shade Piper, which is a stunning soft, rosey pink colour and just perfect for the look I’ve chosen. It applies lovely and feels comfortable to wear without being sticky like some lip glosses. I could easily adapt this to an evening look just by changing the lip colour. The Joan Collins Beauty Divine Lips* in the shade Lady Joan is a gorgeous deep pink shade and would look amazing if you wanted to feel slightly more glamorous on a date night.

Essence Cosmetics Nail Colour

Some days I’ll have gone all out natural, right down to my nails. I have found the perfect blush pink nail polish from Essence Cosmetics Nail Colour in the shade Rosewood Forest. Guess what, it cost’s a grand total of £1.60! I’ve not had much luck with some budget nail polishes but this one is an absolute dream. It’s easy to apply, one coat and it’s done, plus it last a good 4 days before showing any signs that it’s time to re-do my nails.

Ted Baker Blush Pink Body Spray

To finish off I’ll spray a spritz with a light fragrance to make me smell nice, such as this Ted Baker Body Spray in Blush Pink. It has a really pretty feminine smell, with soft florals and notes of jasmine, sandalwood and musk. The nail polish in this photo is by Sally Hansen Color Therapy in the shade Powder Room, which is a beautiful pearly pink shade and another favourite of mine.

GRWM: Everyday Makeup Look

It’s a super, simple makeup look, I feel dressed and ready for the day ahead. No fancy background, just me in my bedroom doing my makeup. Do you know what? I’m feeling good, and that’s what matters.
